About NRT Design & Delivery

Sydney Metro is Australia's biggest public transport project. The Sydney Metro Northwest line, Stage 1 of Sydney Metro, opened to customers on 26 May 2019. The project includes eight new railway stations, 4,000 commuter car parking spaces and the upgrade and conversion of five existing Sydney railway stations to metro standards.

Northwest Rapid Transit (NRT) designed and delivered Sydney’s new generation metro trains; built the new stations and car parks; and installed tracks, signalling, mechanical and electrical systems. NRT is also upgraded and converted the railway between Epping to Chatswood to metro standards. NRT combines the experience of the world’s number one commercial mass transit operator with Australia’s most experienced railway contractors.
